Enjoy a rich cultural experience in the heart of Rathmullan. The Flight of the Earls took place on 4 September 1607, when Hugh O'Neill, Earl of Tyrone and Rory O'Donnell, 1st Earl of Tyrconnell, and about ninety followers left Ulster in Ireland for mainland Europe. The anniversary weekend will feature traditional and folk music in the local pubs and cafes, exhibitions and historical tours of Rathmullan.
