Rathmullan Reopens for the 2020 Season
Wishing the very best of luck to all our businesses that re-opened this week for the remainder of 2020 season.
While Covid 19 has had a devastating impact on tourism, it also appears that Donegal’s remote wilderness is more appealing to visitors than ever before. Demand for holidaying in Donegal is high because social distancing is easier on this more isolated part of the Wild Atlantic Way.
This past few months, our restaurants and hotels have been busy creating new takeaway menus and outdoor dining options for visitors and locals to enjoy. Here's a flavour of what to expect:
Rathmullan House has developed special pods and treehouses for outdoor dining. The Taproom is also open for business, so order with Stephen until 8.00pm or phone on 0749158188 before 5pm. Pick up and eat in garden before 8.00pm.
Enjoy the perfect picnic in a box on the beach from An Bonnan Bui or avail of their outdoor seating.
Belle's Kitchen's delicious pizzas are available for takeaway, so choose your favourite toppings and take a walk along the beach as you savour the best of Donegal flavours and take in some of Ireland's most beautiful coastal scenery.
Earlier this week, a new sign welcoming everyone back to Rathmullan was unveiled at the entrance to the town. Pictured (l-r) is John Gallagher, Daragh Edwards (in front), Tom Edwards, Kate Edwards and Mick Mc Glynn.
